うつわを通して旅に思いを馳せてます
Starting this week, I'll cover several times, "wonderful containers they aren't famous, but I unexpectedly encountered while traveling."
This time, containers of "Akita Araya Glass Studio" with a wonderful exquisite nuance color.

ごきげんいかが？NAOです。
コロナで、以前のようになかなか気軽に旅は行けなくなったけれど、ステイホームな時間が長くなったから、旅先から連れて帰ったうつわを使いつつ、「あ～、またあの町に旅したい～」なんて思いを馳せることが多くなりました。
iittaraやARABIA、HOLME GAARD、WEDGWOOD、Marimekko、GUSTAVSBERG、MINTONといった、ブランドのうつわが私は大好きです。その一方で、有名ではないけれど、旅先で予期せず出会った個性的ななうつわも大切な「ごきげアイテム」です。
あまり知られていないだけで、素敵な工房や作家さんが日本にはまだまだたくさんいらっしゃる。だから、「早くまた、旅先で素敵な出会いがした～い」。そんな気持ちとあいまって、日々の暮らしを豊かに彩ってくれる「旅先で出会ったうつわ」を、これかたもちょくちょく取り上げたいな～と思ってます。
今回は、絶妙なニュアンスカラーが素敵な「秋田市新屋ガラス工房」のうつわについて。

Smoky and soft nuance color／スモーキーでやわらかいニュアンスカラー
For example, this glass vase is a little smoky pink, although it's a little hard to see in the picture. "I don't see this nuance color so much," I fell in love at first sight. I made a prompt decision.
例えば、このガラスの花びん、写真だとちょっとわかりづらいんですが、ややスモーキーなピンクなんです。「このニュアンスカラー、あんまり見かけないな」と一目ぼれ。即決しました。
It's a soft but cool pink rather than cute.
可愛らしいというより、柔らかいけどクールなピンク。
Besides the vase, I bought another sake set.
Gray with a hint of bluish, this is also an exquisite nuance color.
It is a studio original color made by mixing sake lees, and it is called "Arayashu Gray".
By carbonizing sake lees once and melting it into glass, gray, which is said to be difficult to develop even among colored glass, was born.
花びんのほかに、もう1つ買ったのが酒器です。
青みをほのかに感じるグレーで、こちらも絶妙なニュアンスカラー。
酒粕を混ぜ込んで作った工房オリジナルカラーで、「あらやっしゅグレー」というのだそう。
酒粕を一度炭化させて、ガラスに溶融することで、色ガラスの中でも発色が難しいとされるグレーが誕生したそうです。
These works are also cool, but I also feel the softness. The expression changes depending on how the light enters.
By the way, the left and right chicks have the same shape, but the colors are slightly different. There was a picture of the same product on Instagram of the same workshop.

こちらもクールだけれど、やわらかさも感じる作品。光の入り方で、表情が変わります。
ちなみに、左と右のおちょこ、形は同じなのですが、色味がちょっと違います。同工房のInstagramにも同じ商品の写真がありました。↓こっちの2枚目の画のほうが、色味の違いがわかるかな。
As you can see in the post, these two “Ochoko（Sake cup）” are "designs with the same form but different capacities".
The dark gray type on the left of Instagram has a thick bottom glass design that makes it look like it is "raised". I heard that this Ochoko is a glass for people who wants to enjoy a drink even though they can't drink a lot. Its name is "GECO".
On the other hand, the type on the right, which is lighter in gray than the one on the left, is a glass for people who like a lot. Its name is "JOGO".
投稿にもあるように、この２つのおちょこは「同じフォルムで、容量差のあるデザイン」なんです。
インスタ左のグレーが濃いタイプは、底のガラスに厚みがあって、「底上げ」しているようなデザイン。たくさんは飲めないけれど、お酒の席を楽しみたい下戸さん向けのグラスなんだとか。その名も「GECO」。
一方で、左に比べてグレーが淡い右のタイプは、たくさんのみたい上戸さん向けのグラス。その名も「JOGO」。わが家は、もっぱらJOGOが活躍しそうですが。。
前回は慌ただしく工房を訪ねて、滞在したのはほんの10分くらい。。今度はもっとゆっくり見て回りたいです。

Akita Araya Glass Studio has not only workshops and shops, but also galleries and cafes where you can experience production.
秋田市新屋ガラス工房は、工房やショップだけでなく、ギャラリーやカフェなどもあり、制作体験もできるよう。
今度は、子どもも一緒にゆっくりたのしめたらな～と思っています。

【Power spot】Shinzan Shrine／真山神社

I also recommend the power spot "Shinzan Shrine".
秋田市に住む友人に、「時間があるなら、男鹿の真山神社に行ってみるといいよ」とおすすめされたパワースポット「真山神社」。
At this shrine, the famous "Namahage Festival" is held.
本当に偶然にも、そのあと男鹿の宿に泊まる予定だったので、翌朝に行ってみることに。かの有名な「なまはげ祭り」が行われる神社です。
The tense air made me stretch my spine.
うん、パワースポットと言われるのがなんだかわかる。にわかに空気が張り詰めていて、緊張感があって、背筋がピンと伸びるこの感じ。
The atmosphere of Shinzan Shrine may be similar to that of Kumano Hongu Taisha. I like this feeling a lot.
そして、人間以外の気配もかすかにするこの感じ。持っている空気感が、熊野本宮大社にも似ているかも。私はこの感じ、かなり好きです。
Speaking of Oga, "Namahage" is famous.
Namahage has a terrifying appearance like a demon, but it is a messenger of God who worships disasters.
男鹿と言えば「なまはげ」。社務所には、なまはげの立派なお面が飾られていました。神社のお祭りで使われていたものだそう。
【Gourmet】Kawabe drive-in／河辺ドライブイン

I love Akita and go out to play once every 1-2 years, but on this trip, I took the following route.
・ Lake Tazawa / Lake Tazawa (Semboku City)
・ Akita City
・ Oga City
So, on the way from Lake Tazawa to Akita City, I stopped by "Kawabe Drive-in". It's an unpretentious restaurant loved by the locals and is always crowded with people, but this is my second visit. I had the famous "hormone simmered".
秋田は大好きで1～2年に1回は遊びに行っていますが、このときの旅では、次のルートで回りました。
・Lake Tazawa／田沢湖（仙北市）
・秋田市
・男鹿市
それで、田沢湖から秋田市に向かう途中に寄ったのが「河辺ドライブイン」。
地元民に愛されている気取らない食堂で、いつも人で賑わっていますが、今回は2度目の訪問。名物の「ホルモン煮」をいただきました。
写真右上が、名物の「ホルモン煮」。写真は、4年ほど前に初めて訪問したとき撮ったもの。評判にたがわぬ美味しさでした。
I don't remember the name of this dish, but it's like stir-fried pork hormone and green onions. I wanted to drink beer together.
こっちは何ていうメニューだったかなあ。豚ホルモンのネギ焼きみたいなお料理。そのあとドライブが控えてたからガマンしたけど、一緒にビール飲みたかったな～。
セリオンプラザで売っていたバター餅
Speaking of Akita, I also love "butter mochi". When I saw it, I just bought it, but I was surprised at how delicious it was when I ate the butter mochi (right photo) sold at Selion Plaza. It is also a high point that it is made from very simple raw materials.
Ingredients: Glutinous rice (produced in Akita City), sugar, butter, egg yolk, salt, potato starch, enzyme.
秋田といえば「バター餅」。
大好きで見かけるとついつい買ってしまうのですが、セリオンガーデンで売られていたバター餅（写真右）を食べて、美味しさにビックリしました。すっごくシンプルな原料でつくられていることも、高ポイント。
原材料：もち米（秋田市産）、砂糖、バター、卵黄、食塩、片栗粉、酵素。
以上です。
バター餅は、これまで何度も食べてきましたが、原料がシンプルでこれだけ美味しいものは初めてかも。これまた嬉しい出会いがありました。

【Sake】「雪の茅舎」
Akita's famous sake "Yuki no Kayasha" is well known. It's my favorite brand, but I found a "Arabashiri" that I had never seen before!
The sake brewery is in Yurihonjo City, but it is truly the local Akita. The precious "Arabashiri", which can only be drunk when new sake is made, was usually sold at local supermarkets. It is a luxury unique to the local area.
いわずと知れた秋田の銘酒「雪の茅舎」。大好きな銘柄ですが、なんとこれまで見たことのない「荒走」を発見！
酒蔵は由利本荘市ですが、さすがは地元の秋田。新酒ができる頃にしか飲めない貴重な「荒走」が、地元のスーパーで普通に売っていました。
それに、純米吟醸の生酒も普通に千円ちょっとくらいで売られていました。都心部で飲もうとするといいお値段しますからね～。もちろん、どちらも迷わず買いました。
手頃にこんなに美味しいお酒が普通に飲めるなんて、秋田県民の特権ですね。
コロナが落ち着いたら、またすぐに行きたい秋田。とりあえずは、お気に入りの秋田のうつわで、ごきげんチャージしたいと思います。
